3D-Printing, addative ManufacturingAnything but superficial: Solutions that go into the core

Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D manufacturing or generative manufacturing, is of key importance in prototype construction, for components with a high degree of individualisation and for components with complicated geometry. The extent of additive techniques is rapidly growing in the manufacturing of end products as well.

Generative manufacturing processes use physical or chemical hardening and melting processes to create three-dimensional objects from different materials layer by layer. This process often creates microporous structures. By their nature, they are usually not impermeable and therefore susceptible to water absorption as well as to ageing, wear and tear, UV radiation and other negative influences.

Conventional means used in 3D printing, rapid prototyping or additive manufacturing only provide limited protection against such influences or are not flexible enough for user-specific challenges.

DIAMANT’s solutions for this application are completely different:

  • Infiltrates
  • Sealers
  • Impregnations
  • Functional casting compounds
  • Wear-resistant coatings

They are characterised by a wide range of products, a wide spectrum of applications, individually adaptable formulations and tried and tested quality.
