MM1018 - The Liquid Shim®
MM1018 from DIAMANT Polymer is 100% force-fit and flowable before curing: it adapts to the gap and fills it completely without air pockets. MM1018 is dimensionally stable and seals the gap reliably and permanently.
The product enables shear force transfer across the joint. No mechanical or complex on-site processing is necessary. With tested strength values of up to 160 N/mm^2 (23.20b psi), we offer one of the strongest systems on the market.
MM1018 is an approved building product and may be used explicitly for post-tensioned connections. The liquid Lining Sheet® adheres reliably to the substrate and prevents moisture from entering the splitting space. Thus, crevice corrosion has no chance. MM1018 can be applied as a pasty variant or injected or cast as a liquid variant.

With more than 1,000 applications worldwide, DIAMANT MM1018 is considered the most proven polymer system for force-locking gap compensation and is the first product of its kind to have the general approval of the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).
In addition, the liquid Lining Sheet® is recognized by Deutsche Bahn as well as by the waterway authorities (WSV) and is mentioned in installation regulations.
Also the Association of Manufacturers of Roadway Crossings and Bearings for Construction describes and recommends the use of DIAMANT MM1018 for the installation of bridge bearings.
