Impregnation system is suitable for drinking water installations
With a current test report, the hygiene institute of the Ruhgebiet (Germany) confirms the suitability of the waterproofing material dichtol WFT for drinking water installations. The material is used for the capillary-active sealing of porosities on thermally sprayed coatings as well as rapid prototyping components and castings.
The product of the German metal polymer specialist Diamant Metallplastic GmbH was tested and evaluated according to the strict multi-level quality assessments of the Hygiene Institute of the Ruhrgebiet. The current test certificate now confirms the suitability of dichtol WFT for drinking water contact in various application and temperature ranges.
The sealing and impregnation system scored points in all key areas of testing: fittings and gaskets for pipes, as well as repair surfaces on domestic installation tanks. With cold water (23°C), the material reliably meets all drinking water requirements in the areas mentioned above.
With dichtol WFT, Diamant Metallplastic offers a ready-to-use sealing and impregnation system for the capillary-active sealing of porosities. It penetrates all pores, anchors itself in the component and reliably seals it even with changing temperatures.
The material is particularly resistant to physical, chemical and thermal stress as well as resistant to corrosion and weathering. It flexibly adapts to the respective conditions of use and thus opens up a wide range of possible applications in numerous industries.
The polymer can be painted, sprayed, injected or applied by dipping and has a very short curing time. With high pressure tightness and no vacuum, it reliably seals pores from zero to 0.5 millimeters in diameter.
