New test report for coating polymer:

Polymer system for conformity tested with food contact

The hygiene institute of the Ruhgebiet (Germany) has investigated the suitability of the coating polymer dichtol WFT with a test report valid until the end of 2022 with Regulation (EU) No.10 / 2011. The material is used for the capillary-active sealing of porosities on thermally sprayed coatings as well as rapid prototyping components and castings.

The current test report examined the suitability of sealer dichtol WFT for food contact for conformity with Regulation (EU) No. 10/20111.

The decisive factor in the test was the contact behavior of the polymer with different food simulants under different time- and temperature-dependent conditions. According to the key points and limitations of the test report, dichtol WFT is suitable for reusable contact with all foodstuffs for which a test with food simulants A, B, C, D1 and E is required according to Table 2 of Annex III to Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 is required.

With dichtol WFT, the German specialist for polymers and coatings Diamant Metallplastic offers a ready-to-use sealing polymer system for capillary-active sealing of porosities. It penetrates all pores, anchors itself in the component and reliably seals it even with changing temperatures. In addition, it acts as a seal of the surface.

In addition, the material scores points with its high resistance to physical, chemical and thermal stress as well as its resistance to corrosion and weathering. Versatile and flexible, dichtol WFT adapts to the respective operating conditions and thus opens up a variety of possible applications in different industries.

The polymer can be painted, sprayed, injected or applied by dipping and has a very short curing time. With high pressure tightness and no vacuum, it reliably seals pores from zero to 0.5 millimeters in diameter.
