dichtol HM 2407 is a specially developed 2-component impregnation system with high solids content and high chemical resistance. With dichtol HM 2407 even warm objects or TS coatings with a surface temperature of 20°C to 120°C can be sealed. The cured product is slightly flexible and can thus compensate for thermal expansion.
Characteristics
High penetration depth
Resistant to corrosion and weathering
High electrical impact resistance
High solids content (>96%)
Resistant to acids and lyes
Sealing directly on warm surfaces (up to +120°C)
Long potting time
Very good adhesion to metals and ceramics
Diverse application possibilities: dipping, painting, injecting, spraying
Typical applications
Capillary-active impregnation of micropores and hair cracks
Sealing of TS coatings, especially for ceramic insulation coatings
Storage / Shelf life
Store in original, unopened container in a dry, cool and frost-free place (+5°C to +20°C). Shelf life 1 year.
Preparation
Dirt residues, foreign bodies, grease and other substances must be completely removed from the pores to be sealed. For this purpose we recommend the application of DIAMANT Cleaner #1417.
Application
The object temperature should not exceed the application temperature of 120°C, otherwise the penetration of the polymer cannot be guaranteed 100%! If necessary, weigh the two material components exactly in a clean container in the correct mixing ratio and mix well, or mix the supplied container completely with each other.
Brush & Spray
apply dichtol evenly in about 4 stages at intervals of about 1 minute and keep damp on the surface for 5 minutes. This allows dichtol to penetrate deep into the pores.
Inject
dichtol into the blind hole (or similar) and allow to act for 5 minutes. If necessary, remove excess material after the exposure time by suction/discharge.
Dipping
Dip the component to be treated completely in dichtol. After a reaction time of approx. 10 minutes, the component can be removed from the container.
Curing
dichtol HM is a chemically setting product which sets at a temperature of 20°C for 20hrs. Should be curing.
