Description

dichtol HTWG Hydro is a ready-to-use, water-based 1-component system for the impregnation of metals and TS coatings. The simple and versatile application (immersion, painting, spraying) allows reliable impregnation even for complex components.

Application

The object temperature should not exceed 40°C, otherwise the penetration of the sealant cannot be guaranteed 100%.

  • Brushing and spraying:

Apply dichtol in 4 steps at intervals of about 1 minute and keep the surface moist for 5 minutes. This allows dichtol to penetrate deep pores.

  • Inject

Inject dichtol into the blind hole (or similar) and let it absorb for about 5 minutes. If necessary, excess material can be poured off/aspirated again after the reaction time.

  • Dipping

Components to be treated must be completely immersed in dichtol. After an exposure time of about 10 minutes, the component can be removed from the container.

 

Storage / Shelf Life

Store in original, unopened container in a dry, cool and frost-free place (5°C to -+20°C). Shelf life 12 months.

Processing / Preparation

Dirt residues, foreign bodies, grease and other substances must be completely removed from the pores to be sealed. For this purpose we recommend the use of DIAMANT Cleaner #1417.

Application

The object or application temperature should not exceed +40°C, otherwise the penetration behaviour of the polymer may be reduced.

Brush & Spray

apply dichtol in 4 stages at intervals of about 1 minute and keep damp on the surface for 5 minutes. This allows dichtol to penetrate deep into the pores

Inject & Fill

inject dichtol into the blind hole (or similar) and leave for 5 minutes. If necessary, vacuum off / pour out excess material after the exposure time

Dipping

Dip the component to be treated completely in dichtol. After an exposure time of approx. 10 minutes, it can be removed from the container.

Curing

dichtol physically dries at room temperature in 48 hours
